The first season of The Bachelorette Canada is set to premiere on the W Network on Tuesday, September 13th at 9 PM ET/PT.
If you are thinking this series will be anything like The Bachelor Canada's two previous seasons, think again. I believe production has wiped the chalkboard clean and are starting over from scratch. Here is what we know so far...
Kenora, Ontario-native Jasmine Lorimer is putting her heart on the line this fall on W Network's The Bachelorette Canada. Lorimer, a hairstylist currently based out of Pemberton, British Columbia, will search for the man of her dreams when 20 eligible bachelors do whatever it takes to win her heart. A small-town girl at heart, 27 year-old Lorimer's artistic nature and adventurous spirit drew her to the beauty industry and the West Coast. Her free spirited, down-to-earth approach to life, coupled with a warm and radiant disposition, make Jasmine the perfect choice for this romantic adventure of a lifetime. Refreshingly open, honest and not afraid to laugh at herself, Canadians nationwide will fall in love with Jasmine as she risks it all to find "the one."

Our host is Noah Cappe, who is best known for his roles on Food Network Canada's Carnival Eats, The Great Canadian Cookbook and W Network's top-rated series Good Witch. He has also appeared in Bitten, The Transporter and Degrasse The Next Generation, among other things.
There will be 20 bachelors attempting to win the heart of a woman they've never seen before. We know of one Bachelor hoping to win Jasmine's heart, Eddie Horgan. Eddie, from Saint John, New Brunswick, is an Oilfield Logistics Coordinator in Calgary. He won Canada's Crush - the contest where fans voted online for their favourite among three potential bachelors.

'The Bachelorette Canada After Show SuperFan Experience'
Canadians can visit wnetwork.com/superfan to prove they truly are The Bachelorette Canada's biggest SuperFan for the opportunity to appear on a live After Show episode with Jennifer Valentyne. SuperFans are invited to complete a short, online questionnaire and upload a photo of their best 'Rose Ceremony Reaction'. Nine lucky SuperFans will receive round-trip airfare and accommodation in Vancouver and will appear in an episode of the After Show. For more information about the contest, visit wnetwork.com.
We also know that filming is complete. In fact, filming began on March 19th in Vancouver and it wrapped on April 11th. Producer Claire Freeland posted a picture on Instagram captioning it the best Final Rose Ceremony ever. Like we've never heard that one before. If Jasmine is now engaged, the happy couple must endure months of living apart and meeting up only intermittently in secret rendezvous.
This series has ONLY 9 episodes, which I would have to believe does not include the Men Tell All or
After the Final Rose episodes. PLEASE! Anything less would be almost tragic. The production schedule quotes October 31st as the wrap date, so I suspect that is when TMTA and ATFR will be filmed in studio. I will post updates on this when information becomes available.
I think that puts the finale airing on or about November 15th, provided it airs uninterrupted and there is a Men Tell All episode. That is SEVEN MONTHS of carrying on a relationship under hugely stressful conditions.
So yeah, good luck with that. But I know one thing, I'm going to have some fuuun with this.
