But What Does It All Mean? BBCan5 Premiere Date OFFICIAL!!!
It's become an annual ritual. Have Arisa tease the fans on social media for a week or two. Build up anticipation. And fan frustration. The problem? The silliest of rumours infest Twitter, Facebook, Reddit and every fan forum out there. But we have now reached stage one in the REAL countdown - the official press release announcing the premiere date and schedule. But a strange thing happened this year. Instead of giving the fans their yearly fix, This PR only raised more questions. Here's what we now know, along with some of my notes:

BBCan3....While the Live Feeds are Down...My Predictions (Spoilers Included)
According to this rumour - which has now become fully ensconced in social media and the BB fandom, Kevin nominated Bobby and Naeha.
All last night, Kevin was talking strategy. In a group of Naeha, Johnny, Sarah and Jordan, (and that sneaky Willow fluttering in and out every so often) he was very quiet while Naeha spelled it all out, mainly how Kevin was the target last week. They talked about how confident the Chop Shop's core group of Bruno, Graig and Bobby + the outsider Godfrey were. Kevin later talked to Jordan, and then Jordan and Zach. These three formed a new alliance, "Bromuda Triangle" (whether it's real or not doesn't matter). In addition, Zach informed Ashleigh - both of whom are members of the Chop Shop, just to lay low this week and let it all play out.

Kevin considers the hand he is being dealt.
For now, let's work on the assumption the rumour is true and he nominated Bobby and Naeha. I give this rumour credence because it would have been a smart move to nominate Naeha as a pawn. Gotta have one. And Kevin's reason for nominating Bobby? Bobby nominated him last week...touche.
Shall we go over the numbers? Kevin, Naeha and Bobby can't vote. There are 11 votes, so 6 are needed to evict. How will they vote?
Ashleigh's vote will force her to show if her true alliance is to Chop Shop or her budding showmance with Zach. Godfrey could go either way even though he has been spending his time with the Chop Shop guys. Godfrey is a floater - 1st class. He will jump from a sinking ship. I think Pilar is going to vote whatever way Kevin tells her to vote. Zach may expose himself to the Chop Shop a la Arlie did last year with the First Five, but he can always blame the numbers on someone else. Both the noms are threats: Bobby physically and Naeha socially. Even with Ashleigh and Godfrey voting to evict Naeha, the final vote should be Naeha 5, Bobby 6. Looks like Bobby is headed into sequester and will have to earn a chance to re-enter the house in what Arisa said would be a difficult task. I think one side of the house will be doing a new dance called The Chop Shop Flop.
In addition, there was a leak after the feeds went dark yesterday (Thursday) showing Kevin coming out of the vault, the HGs sitting on the couches, and Arisa appearing on the screen to announce the surprise Instant Eviction. So I now tend to believe Kevin made a shortlist of four Wednesday night and narrowed it down to his two noms on Thursday. If it went down this way, Bobby and Naeha may not be the final 2 noms. Who else could have been on that "Shortlist"? Graig? Godfrey? Britnee? Sarah?
So...what do you think will happen? Leave a comment!

Recap of The Bachelor Canada 2 Finale Part 1
We begin with Timbits flying off to Tahiti. Air Tahiti must have been down on it's bookings that day because it looks like Tim was the only one on the plane. Tim laments that this is a very important week because he will be proposing to either April or Trisha by the end of it. The problem? He is falling in love with two very different women.

The Bachelor Canada 2 Finale
CityTV has decided the finale for Tim Warmels reign as The Bachelor Canada will be a two parter.
The one hour Part 1 airs tonight. Tim, Trisha and April travel to Tahiti, where Tim will offer overnight dates in the Fantasy Suite to each of the girls. Then the girls get to meet Tim's Mumsy, whom they are making out to be a real over-protective you-know-what. The preview shows April having some sort of a melt down - presumably over the encounter. Tim has supposedly never seen her like this. Has he ever seen her, well...anything?
As for Part 2...
It is only a 30 minute show - as is the After the Final Rose. What the hell is going on? If Part 1 was 60 minutes, common sense would suggest Part 2 would be the same length or longer. But no. In thirty minutes, they are going to cram Tim saying good-bye to one girl and propose to the other. This just screams they want this horrible, ridiculous season to end as quickly as possible. Put it out of it's misery. Stop the bleeding. Stick it with a fork cos it's done. So you have to ask yourself, why? Don't they usually want to milk it for all it's worth? Especially after the popularity of Brad Smith's Season 1 finale.

Preview of Episode 8 "I Said Yes!" Amazing Race Canada 2
Yes, by "Preview" I mean spoilers.
Hmmn. Interesting title. You don't suppose someone popped the big question, do you? After all, it is Paris - the city of love.

I have another question. Will this be another episode of "Getting Lost in France and Hating Yourself"? Forget about Rex and Bob's pitch for a show called Gay Acres. I want to see Ryan and Rob do this show! Seriously. The problem is this leg won't be their episode 2.

Preview of Episode 5 "Who Designs These Torture Tests?" Amazing Race Canada 2
Yes, the teams head back to Canada this week, just like I told you they would. They leave the heat of Macau and must adjust to the cooler climes of Whitehorse. (This was filmed May 8 and 9) How can Mickey find his mellow in Whitehorse if it's too cold to take his pants off? Apparently Satan himself designs these challenges. That's according to Rex who we see bravely pedaling a bike during a Roadblock. I will get back to this in a minute, but first there's another big issue to be addressed in this episode. Who gets that pesky 2nd Express Pass?

Preview of Episode 3 "Snakes and Liars" Amazing Race Canada 2 Goes to Hong Kong!!!
Well, well, well. What do we have here? Hong Kong, you say? That ain't no downtown Regina, that's for sure. The title is rather ominous ad makes me wonder who this liar is and what could they possibly lie about? But the most important question is, do they have any Timmies in Hong Kong?
***Danger, Danger, Danger***
There are spoilers here...obviously!!! So only click if you want to know. Duh!

Big Brother Canada 2: Weekend Update for Week 7
Spoilers from Live Feeds:
- Sabrina and Rachelle pitch a deal to Jon. If he saves them this week, they will promise their loyalty to him for the rest of the game.
- Jon nominated Rachelle and Sabrina, aka The Gremlins, for eviction.
- Sabrina confronts Jon. She says he was foolish not to take their offer. Sabrina says go ahead and vote me out. Jon says okay.
- Neda tells Rachelle to try to win the POV Comp.
- Adel used his special card to replace Allison in the POV Comp. Allison has become suspicious of this - she already suspects she is at the bottom of her alliance and is now thinking the others are planning to backdoor her. Adel tells her that he wanted to play in the comp, and he had to pick someone. She doesn't buy it. Allison leaves to go to the DR and Adel says fuck it, she's gone next week
- Jon wins POV.
- Neda tells Jon to take Rachelle off the block. Neda wants Allison gone. As of Saturday night, he plans on backdooring Allison.
- Jon, Neda and the Gremlins talk about getting rid of Allison
- Arlie tells Adel that he should be included in the negotiations with the Gremlins, Adel prefers not to.
- Allison sat in chair at bottom of stairs next to the War Room door contemplating her fate. She whispers "why won't you open?" and wonders if Sarah might be in there.
- Adel is on a secret mission...Marsha? He went to the DR, and all the other HGs were locked down in the supply room. Feeds were down, but when they returned, Adel was asking several people for a date, including the men. All give him excuses. So were the HGs told by BB of his mission while on lockdown and told not to cooperate?
- Late Sunday Night The HGs were rewarded with booze. Allison gets totally wasted and goes on a rant about her not being right for this game and knowing that she is being backdoored.
- Neda and Heather reconsider the plan to backdoor Allison...they have figured out the trouble that Arlie has caused, and now recognize the Arlie/Jon plan is not right for their game. Neda and Heather now want to backdoor Arlie.
- Neda and Heather try to wake up a passed-out Allison to explain their plan. They want Allison aware of the plan before the POV Ceremony on Monday
- Neda talks to Jon and Jon is now seemingly on board with taking Arlie out.

Big Brother Canada 2: Week 6 New HoH Heather & The Fallout
From the Live feeds Thursday night after Andrew's eviction:
Heather won the Blind Side Comp...."blind side" how ironic is that? It certainly blind-sided the First 5 minus 1. They are scrambling. They know they are done for now - they will be targeted again this week. They also realize that maybe it wasn't such a good idea to treat Heather like crap since the game started.
Heather got her HoH room right after the comp...and everyone was up there when the live feeds returned after the show. Unusual because the new HoH gets their room the next day. This set off a round of speculation that maybe this will be an instant eviction. Everyone was acting all nice nice, being Heather's best friend. Everyone but Sabrina, who was giving Heather the absolute worst side-glances. Gee Sabrina, I wonder what was going through your mind?
Arlie, Jon, Neda, and Adel were in very high spirits. I imagine Adel was very relieved that he doesn't have to worry that the truth about his Veto power will come out.
Sarah immediately came down with a migraine. When Sabrina asked if Sarah was mad at her (Sabrina being her usual paranoid self), Sarah and Arlie let Sabrina know that maybe it wasn't the time to make everything that happens revolve around her. This resulted in a half hour discussion between Arlie and Sabrina. Good God.
Both Sabrina and Rachelle took turns questioning Heather about her nomination choices. Heather told Sabrina she is safe, and then told Rachelle that she will have to consider things overnight, but she was pretty sure that Rachelle wasn't her target. However, if Heather decides to put Rachelle up as a pawn, she will let her know beforehand.
The longest convo of the night goes to Sabrina and Allison. They concluded that Heather's nominations will be kenny and Rachelle - with Kenny being the target and Rachelle the pawn. This is probably true if we can believe the info that Arlie passed on to Heather Wednesday night is their plan.
Here's the problem for Sabrina and Allison. Sabrina has a pact with Kenny, but her best friend is Rachelle. How can she vote for either of them. Nope, that just won't do for Sabrina. So she makes Allison promise to go talk to Heather and suggest to her that she shouldn't put up a weak player like Rachelle against her "target" (she is not to mention Kenny's name). Sabrina tries to get Allison to suggest Sarah to Heather. Allison doesn't think Heather will go for Mumsy. Sabrina then suggests that she herself (Sabrina...yes you heard that right) goes up. Allison has a problem with that, because she also has a pact with Kenny, and she doesn't want to vote for Sabrina. Now you may ask yourself why all of a sudden, any promises or pacts make a difference. Because of Jury...and every vote will count.
So watch for Sabrina to go into full, all-out game mode in the next couple of days. Looks like she's going to be spinning another snot web of deceit. This just keeps on getting better and better.

Big Brother Canada 2: Secret House Guests...Who's Going In?
Voting for the Final HG closes at midnight tonight, and the person that Canada chooses will enter the house tomorrow. Here's what they will be walking into:
Whoever the newcomer is, they are going to have to play dumb, act like they don't know anything, and lay low. Just let the house continue with their current game plan of getting rid of Paul, Adel, Heather and Ika - supposedly in that order (if we can trust what has been said in the live feeds). They must also know who they want to align themselves with.
Nate Sandri,
23, Burnaby, B.C.
Custom Sheet Metal Fabricator
If Nate had been one of the original 14 HGs, he would have fit in better. I don't think Nate got the necessary votes from Canada. I think everyone recognizes the fact that he would just be fodder for the rest. He might be brought into an existing alliance, but only as a fringe member that could be easily sacrificed. Two things could happen. He is nominated and evicted next week by the new HOH - Paul and Adel are safe for another week. Or, he'll be nominated as a pawn, possibly to test his loyalty, because the First 5 Alliance is dead set in getting Paul out.
Allison White
25, Lewisporte NL, (currently St. John's NL)
Nurse
I think Allison has the most potential to shake things up in the house. She's got game - she's a huge Big brother fan. She's also been paying a lot of attention to the feeds in the War Room. One other thing...she recognized Kenny, although she didn't say how or from where. She may even know Kenny's gay. If Kenny also recognizes her, things could get very interesting indeed. Whole new alliances could form. As long as she stays clear of any showmance, say with Andrew, she will do well. I think her biggest competition would come from Sabrina who would no doubt become very jealous of Allison interacting with any of "her guys".
Scott Bosse
36, St John, NB (currently Halifax, NS)
Medical Secretary/Event Producer/Drag Queen
If there had been no Gary in season 1, I would back Scott. However, every single one of the remaining HGs inside are all too aware of how popular Gary became both inside and outside the house. If it weren't for Topaz's mistake, Gary would have won. Yes, I am well aware that just because Scott is a drag queen, it doesn't make him another Gary. But I think if Scott is Canada's pick, he would definitely be evicted next. Even at the expense of keeping Paul and Adel another week. They just won't risk it. It's too bad, because Scott has been hilarious inside the War Room
So who's going into the house on Thursday? I think it's going to be Allison. For two reasons: real BB fans will recognize that Allison has the game to survive and turn the house upside down; and guys will vote for her because she's hot.
Whoever is chosen, I hope Big Brother does not tell the HGs that the newby has been watching the feeds. I would also really like to see the new House Guest just show up, not introduced. Just be standing in the kitchen making breakfast in the morning when everyone wakes up. Nope that won't happen. It would be great, but nope.

- An established house: the remaining HG's have been inside the house for 2 weeks already. They pretty much know each other as well as any 13 (soon to be 12) strangers possibly can.
- A divided house: alliances have been formed. There is the first 5 (Andrew, Kenny, Arlie, Sabrina and Sarah), the girls' alliance, the guys alliance, and the remains of the Outsiders (Paul and Adel - by the sounds of it, Kyle will be voted out tomorrow). There is also a multitude of 2-person alliances.
- A fighting house: The wounds suffered on Saturday are still fresh, even though apologizes have been made.
Whoever the newcomer is, they are going to have to play dumb, act like they don't know anything, and lay low. Just let the house continue with their current game plan of getting rid of Paul, Adel, Heather and Ika - supposedly in that order (if we can trust what has been said in the live feeds). Big Brother Canada 2 - Week 2 Recap
HOH: Andrew
Nominees: Paul andNeda
POV:Kenny
Replacement Nominee: Kyle
Target: Kyle
Live Feeds Updated regularly:
- Live feeds are very irregular... they are 'Hush, Hush' (down) more than up. However, we do know that Andrew won HOH and nominated Paul as target and Neda as pawn. (Andrew's plan has since changed)
- lots of fighting among the HGs...so much so that the 3 in the War Room believe these people are mean. The fighting became so bad that Big Brother purposely stopped the live feeds and has taken steps to repair the damage. Note: feeds were down for Saturday almost completely. Only the War Room feed was up, and even that feed was short-lived.
- Kyle, Adel and Paul appear to be the troublemakers, because they know they are the targets this week. Paul continues to isolate himself and has accused Andrew of being a racist and a womanizer. He refers to himself as the virus in the house. Meanwhile, Kyle accused Ika of "playing him", after noticing that things said to her in confidence have gotten back to Andrew and Kenny. (I am not sure if that was the start of all the infighting, or if something happened even before that. There have been references to a couple of events since the beginning of the live feeds on Wednesday night) Adel called Sabrina a cow. Kyle and Adel suspect one of them will be backdoored this week and continue to look for ways to "stir the pot". Andrew has said that Kyle has to go.
- The HGs were given a game to play involving 3 tasks and having to work together. (reminds me more of a trust-building group therapy activity)
- The Final 3 are being given turns in the Diary Room to make a plea to Canada for votes. This will probably air tonight (Sunday)
- Adel and Kyle talking. Adel keeps referring to the big disturbance on Saturday. He says he "saw something", then he threw his mic in disgust. He then says "Big Brother changed the house rules because of it". Every time he says this, he is warned by production and/or the live feeds cut to a commercial.
- Kenny won POV and takes Neda off the block. Andrew puts up Kyle, as expected.
- Jon is talking of making a big move and targeting Andrew if he gets HOH.This immediately gets back to Andrew and Kenny via Sabrina (was this a test by Jon?). Sabrina asks if Kenny is pleased she snitched.
- Paul, Adel and Kyle are making the most of their limited time in the house. Hot tub, pool and making a blanket fort. They continue to isolate themselves from the rest of the HGs ...neither Paul nor Kyle are doing anything to try to stay. They have called themselves "The Outsiders" or after spending a lot of time in the hot tub, "Lobsters" (my opinion: I think Paul is continuing to play Adel and Kyle knowing Kyle is the target, making sure he stays that way)
- Jon is injured: he dislocated his shoulder by the pool. He is currently receiving medical treatment.
- Jon is back in the house
- Sarah, Sabrina and Ika fight over a potato chip - Sarah made chips for the Have Nots, Ika ate one
- the First Five alliance discuss taking in Jon and Rachelle, to become the final 7 HGs. The plan would remain the same though: the First 5 are still the final 5, and out of those, Arlie would be the first to go, leaving Andrew, Kenny, Sarah and Sabrina as the final 4.
Recap of Episode 3 Sunday March 9
- Rachelle approaches Kenny about Heather saying Kenny said he doesn't trust Rachelle. Confusing? The only thing we learned here is that Heather is a big snitch. Apparently Kenny fed this to Heather as a test. She thinks she is in with a Kenny/Andrew alliance, when in fact she is sitting on the periphery looking in.
The HOH starts with everyone dressed in the latest farm fashions. The line of the night goes to Kyle when he sees the out-going HOH Paul walk in to host the comp..."Paul comes out dressed as a big cock". The comp is called Fresh From The Farm. For Round one, the HGs are supposedly "randomly paired" in teams of two. Right. One team mate must keep a very large metal bin suspended with a rope, while the other must collect potatoes with their team colour on it. That same person must throw them into an opposing team's basket. The team who keeps their basket up the longest wins. The first two teams eliminated will become the first Have (Half) Nots. Of course the girls are out first. Sarah, Neda, Rachelle and Heather are on slop for the week. It's down to Kenny and Jon vs Andrew and Arlie. Jon gives out. Andrew and Arlie move on to Round Two. They take a short break. Arlie goes in the pantry and pretends to be exhausted. He does not want HOH. In Round Two they must dig through the potatoes and find the golden potato...aka the baking potato in gold foil. Arlie again feigns exhaustion and purposely passes over the gold tater several times. Finally Andrew finds it and claims HOH, of course thinking he found it fair and square. Heather is elated because Andrew ins. One thing is for sure, Heather is dumber than the average blonde. I never knew that was possible.
Andrew shows off his HOH room, and everyone shows their happy face. This is immediately followed by the Have Nots being introduced to slop and potatoes, then their Half Not room. Wah. How will they survive?
The First Five alliance is revealed to us formally. They were the first group who went into the house and decided to ally with each other right off the bat: Andrew, Kenny, Arlie, Sabrina and Sarah. Meanwhile, Paul knows he will be Andrew's biggest target this week, so he tries something with Ika. He says Andrew is a racist, has been tormenting him and actually starts to cry. Ika recognizes bullshit when she sees it.
Time for Andrew to ponder his nominations. He's got a revenge hard on for Paul, but is also considering some of the girls. He is also listening to Kenny's suggestion of booting out Kyle - the physical threat with rocks rolling around in his head. But in the end, Andrew nominates Paul and Neda. Andrew says he nominated Neda because she is a strong player. Then he exposes Paul for slandering him. In his Diary Room confession, Paul indeed admits to lying, saying Andrew is not a racist. This is the start of the disturbance that lasted all weekend. It got so bad that feeds were down for most of Saturday. On top of that, whenever any HG starts discussing it, they are given a warning and/or the feeds are cut. There is more...much more to come. It will be interesting to see how much makes it to air.
Recap of Episode 4 Wednesday March 12
The show starts with a review of the big snit after the nomination ceremony. In a nutshell, Paul first accused Andrew of being a racist in a convo with Sabrina. He then reinforced it by crying over it with Ika. Ika got back to Andrew about it. That's why Andrew called him out in the nomination ceremony. Paul states in the Diary Room he knows Andrew is not a racist. He just wants to be the Richard Hatch, the bad guy to get him to the final two.
Kyle and Adel think they are now screwed because of their association with Paul. But instead of cutting the guy loose, they only make things much worse. You can read my recap of what really went down HERE
Big Brother makes the HGs go through a series of team building exercises to calm the house down. Before the POV Comp gets under way, Kenny gets Andrew to agree on making Kyle the new target. The plan is now to win POV, take Neda off the block and make Kyle the replacement nominee.Eventually Adel and Kyle clue in to the plan.
The POV players are picked: Paul, Neda, Andrew, Kenny, Sarah and Jon are the players. Arlie is the host. Big Brother informs the players and the host that they will receive a gift...a special screening of the soon to be released movie, Divergent.
The comp is an obstacle course based on the movie they just saw. Jump off a 10 foot wall, crawl, climb up and over a rope wall, jump into freezing water, grab a puzzle piece, then zipline to the puzzle board. They must repeat the course until they get all the puzzle pieces. Paul knows he is screwed. He takes what seems forever to even jump off the first wall (and land on a big cushion). People are getting their second puzzle pieces before he even gets over the ropes.
The episode ends before a winner is determined. Gee, they have a lot to cover tomorrow night. POV winner, POV ceremony, Live Eviction and the Final HG enters the house. I guess they won't have any time to cover the big fight that happened on Saturday. Funny how that happens.
Recap of Episode 4 Thursday March 13
The POV comp continues....Kenny wins. No surprise there. Then there is the gratuitous analysis of whether or not to use the veto. Kenny saves Neda and Andrew nominates Kyle as the replacement. Of course Paul believes his plan to be the villain is working. He also says if he becomes HOH he will seek vengeance.
Kyle makes the most of his remaining time in the house by learning to pray with Adel. He does not do any campaigning or bargaining to save himself. He, Adel and Paul call themselves the Outsiders, and spend most of their time in the backyard or in the hot tub - completely separate from the others.
But the writing was on the wall, and Kyle is evicted by a vote of 9 to 1, with Adel the only dissenter.
New HOH competition,...it's a trivia contest. They must discern between fact or rumour.
Paul out first. Then Neda, Rachelle, Adel, Heather, Jon, then everyone except Ika. She wins. The comp was short and sweet...so I wonder if they suspected something was up - like a twist.
Meanwhile in the War Room...the secret 3 are given a "last supper". This happened yesterday. Arisa gets right to it. Allison won. She can make up any story she wants, but can never reveal the War Room, or that she has been watching them all week. She gets escorted in by the BB Secret Service. They held the HGs in the backyard and let Allison wander around. When they open the gate slowly, the HGs notice her and the reaction was hilarious. Especially from Arlie who gives a little wave to her. She plays dumb...they all run up to her and she says, "You guys are here already?" Kenny says, "We've been here for two weeks". Hopefully, she will be able to keep up the story.
So what are her chances? Pretty darn good. Even if Ika puts her up on the block, the First Five are unlikely to vote for her. Chances are Ika will follow whatever the main alliance wants - which is getting rid of Paul and Adel.
Nominees: Paul and
It will be interesting to see how much makes it to air.

yet.
From Pearson Airport, it's a taxi ride downtown to the L Tower. The Roadblock here is rappelling down the outside of the building which is still under construction. This locale is obviously the replacement for the rappelling that was supposed to happen at City Hall. But Mayor Rob Ford screwed that one up. The finale was filmed May 24th, which just happened to be the day that every reporter in the city (and beyond) descended on City Hall to get a comment from the Mayor about the crack scandal. Is there anything that Rob Ford hasn't screwed up? Anyway, all three teams are there at the same time. Jody, Tim Jr. and

From here, they must go to the Cadbury Adams factory. If I have to guess, I would say the challenge has something to do with Cadbury's current promotion with the golden key. Sounds way too Willy Wonka-ish for me. But I can tell you to expect the lead to shift here.

Vanessa and Celina
As for the finish line? I am still going with the Toronto Islands. I don't know if they will take the ferry, or maybe they have to row across (which would be reminiscent of Ned Hanlon, by the way. Or kind of ironic for Dave and Jet in the previous episode). And who wins? Well your guess is as good as mine. I am sticking with Jody and Cory. Not because I know something or whatever. Simply because of various promos. E Talk is featuring each team: the Tims on Thursday, Jody and Cory on Friday; and Vanessa and Celina on Monday before the finale. They are right in the middle. They wouldn't air the interview with Vanessa and Celina right before the finale if they won, would they? Oh, there is something else. That prize Jody and Cory won for Leg 9 was a one-year Air Canada Privileges package...what good would that be without the one year of free travel to go with it? Just...odd.
However....
I keep thinking of certain tweets the teams put out after filming was done. Before filming started, Vanessa had given the excuse to her fans that she would be 'on vacation for the month' with no access to the internet. When she returned home she tweeted out she had returned. Jody replied to her, "where you been?". Vanessa did not reply...publicly anyways. She ignored it, being very safe. Now if the brothers won, wouldn't that seem a little, I don't know, insensitive or rude? Like he's rubbing it in their faces? So, you could read two things in this. Either Vanessa & Celina won, and Jody was just teasing her. Or the Tims won, and Jody was teasing because they were both losers.
Guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Don't forget to stay tuned to CTV after the finale for 'After the Race' reunion show.

The Amazing Race Canada: Preview of Episode 9 'Ah-mazing'

and Labrador
This week, the four remaining teams continue racing from the Bluenose II in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia on through to St. John’s, Newfoundland in the second half of a double leg. Not only that, but it looks like they are taking a ferry to Newfoundland. The Marine-Atlantic Ferry is shown in the preview. At that time of year, (last May), their ferries only dock in Port aux Basques, so it would appear the teams will have a bit of a road trip getting to St. John’s. Although Vanessa and Celina will depart Lunenburg over an hour after the third place team Jet and Dave, they catch up. There is a mad dash out of the ferry terminal. My guess is there was a significant wait for the ferry - there are only two per day. Oh well…that’s Amazing Race for you.
We are going to see a lot of local flavour in this episode.
The Roadblock is busking for money. Celina does a hula hoop act; Tim Sr. does some juggling; and Dave twirls a baton with 2 sticks. Worst acts ever. There is a clip of Jet, Tim Jr, Vanessa and Cory in front of a statue called ’A Time’, listening to a fiddler - a woman. Jet starts dancing around her. This is just the 4 of them entertaining themselves while their team mates were off busking. I think the performers will have to earn a set amount of money and then hand it over to the fiddler who will give them their next clue. Beats me how any of these acts will get money. But I have to say Celina will have a clear advantage. Pretty girl. Hula Hoop. There is also something to do with performing with ’ugly sticks’…the busking could be a two-part act.
One part of the Detour is guiding Newfoundland dogs pulling carts filled with 12 bottles of milk and a basket of eggs. If they spill any of it, they will have to start again. Jody and Cory do this one. The other part of the Detour has something to do with ’words’… as we see in the preview. This could be ‘kissing the cod’ and being ‘screeched-in’. Yes, I have heard of this, but in all honesty, I had to look it up. It’s a welcoming ceremony, and a Newfoundlander must be present. The newcomer must kiss the cod on the mouth, and is then asked, “Is ye a Screecher?” The reply is “Deed I is me old cock, and long may your big jib draw!” Then they have to drink a shot of screech. Okay, if this is wrong, please forgive me…blame Wikipedia. Jet and Dave are shown in the preview, and behind them, waiting their turn are Vanessa and Celina. For some reason, Jet is presented with the tail end of the cod. He really gets into it…lots of tongue. I am sure there will be more hilarity here when they have to give that response.
