From Wednesday April 22 (Post Eviction) to Wednesday April 29, 2015

Wednesday, April 22 2015

  • Pilar won HoH
  • HGs start to question the vote. Sindy lies and says it was Willow who voted JP out. Sarah is
happy Sindy lied because it exposes her game
  • Bruno and Zach in HoHR: Bruno explains why he had to vote JP out over Godfrey. He could work with Godfrey, and had no connection with JP. Bruno leaves and Zach sits alone for a long time.
  • Kevin uses Pili's candies to explain the alliances in the house, what her strategy is and who she wants to target. Pilar is extremely confused, even thinking that the extra vote to evict JP came from Godfrey.
Thursday, April 23 2015

  • Right after waking up, Sindy, Brittnee, Sarah and Godfrey go to Pilar and Kevin in HoHR, expose the Chop Shop and explain how each member of the Chop Shop focused on one other person (followed and friended them, to have an extra for voting purposes) - and how Pilar was Ashleigh's. Pilar is very upset.
  • Have Nots are Sarah, Brittnee, Kevin and Godfrey
  • Pilar nominated Godfrey and Sindy
Friday, April 24 2015
  • PoV Comp today
  • HGs are sore today, feeling the effects of the HN Comp. Sarah is injured her tailbone. Brittnee was crying this morning.
  • PoV players: Pilar, Godfrey, Sindy, Kevin, Bobby and Willow. Sarah is the host.
  • Feeds down for PoV comp for about 6 hours. When they return, Godfrey won PoV. Willow must wear Ketchup costume for 24 hours.
  • Pilar does not want to be alone with Sindy...doesn't want to listen to her campaigning
Saturday, April 25 2015

  • appears that Pilar will now put up Brittnee as replacement nom
  • Several HGs were given tasks for a reward - but the real task was with Bruno who had to keep them all from going into the vault.
  • Ash, Zach, Kevin and Pilar in washroom: they think of bringing in Willow because she wasn't in o the JP vote. They also discuss putting Bobby or Bruno up against Sindy on the block, settle on Bobby
  • Bobby walks in and they tell him Brittnee will go up as pawn. He agrees.
  • Kevin and Zach say Sindy has to go this week, but they need to strike first at Bruno and Bobby.
  • Bruno, Godfrey, Brittnee and Sindy in the backyard. Sindy talks about sequester and why Naeha was a target. Bruno tells Sindy the Chop Shop hasn't been a thing for a while
  • HGs in lockdown in HoH, probably awaiting their reward
  • arts and crafts: they have to make masks
Sunday, April 26 2015

  • Booze delivery in the wee hours of morning. They all proceed to get drunk, quickly
  • Everyone hung over
  • PoV Ceremony: Godfrey uses veto to save himself. Pilar puts Brittnee up as replacement nom
  • New task for a "surprise": HG's must work in pairs (each pair for 1 hour at a time) for 24 hours walking a treadmill in a car across country. A
giant screen shows where they are. Bruno & Bobby; Kevin & Sarah; Zach & Willow; Sindy & Brittnee; Ash & Pilar.
  • Kevin and Sarah get a snow storm driving through the Rockies, have to put on coats and hats.
Monday, April 27 2015

  • HGs finish cross-country trek
  • Feeds down, when they return all look pissed off/tired
  • Ashleigh receives punishment: 300 laps around backyard on a trike
  • Sarah asks BB for a bottle of champagne for a date with Willow (Sarah's a HN)
  • Willow compares Zach to a Nazi. Sarah tells her she can't say that. Willow doesn't get why that is inappropriate.
Tuesday, April 28 2015

  • Sindy continues to campaign but it's pretty clear no one can trust her and everyone wants her out
  • Sindy attempts to talk one last time with Bruno and Bobby, after the two have gone to bed. She says she would go after Zach. Bobby asks Sindy if she wants the truth, then tells her he's still voting her out.
Wednesday, April 29 2015
  • Marsha Mission, or something more: Marsha tweeted she's back.
  • Everyone is watching Willow get her pits waxed. Meanwhile, Kevin seems to be on his own mission, making the fortress sign to give to Sindy for JP. He says, JP will understand.

BBCan 3 Episode 7 Round 2 Noms & PoV - The 3 Laws of Fembotics

No hard feelings guys. You're just pawns. The Fembots have bigger fish to fry.
Sooo...
Brittnee has just won the HoH comp and Sarah yells out, "From pawn to queen in one move, right here." Sure everyone is excited for her, but you could tell it was very forced for some of them. Graig, Bobby and Bruno give her their obligatory hugs. They aren't happy and it shows. Graig says he thinks he has a good relationship with Brittnee. Apparentlt, in Graig-speak, a "good relationship" means "She is easy to manipulate." Bobby tries to pick Brittnee's brains about her plans for nominations, then tries to throw Johnny under the bus. Oh Bobby, you aren't very good at this. Brittnee just agrees with him and HIS (the Chop Shop's) "master plan" to nominate Johnny.

Johnny, just like Sarah, voted for Britnee in the Instant Eviction only so Naeha would be spared from a unanimous vote. It was a sympathy vote. Johnny is a bit worried that Brittnee may be a little pissed so he has a little talk with her. Brittnee understands what he did, but for now she wants to keep Johnny in the dark. You see, Johnny is a key figure in her "master plan." Nyuh, huh, ha.

Yep, that's right. Up until now Brittnee has been a pretty quiet house guest. We only knew she was in the house because she has been nominated twice. Even on the live feeds, she just seems to mope about and rarely talks. Of course, being a Have Not on slop for the last week may have had something to do with Brittnee chronically staring into space. I can't fault her for that. But now, Brittnee has suddenly become a player and she has her own plan.

Her target this week? Graig. The Ginga-Ninja himself. Brittnee's had enough of being his pawn. For now, she is going to keep him at ease, pretending to do his will. Then BAM. Graig's going to find himself back-doored.

Cos that's what Fembots do. Brittnee and Sarah refer to themselves as Fembots. All fluffy and smiley on the outside, pretending to have no clue as to what's going on. But on the inside they're circuits and wires. Cold and calculating.

Brittnee goes in the vault and shortlists Bobby, Godfrey, Kevin and Graig. Then she comes out to reveal her noms: Kevin and Bobby. She tells them it's nothing personal. She hopes they play for PoV because she has "bigger fish to fry". Then she says, "I never forget when someone writes my name down." Ouch. Johnny hangs his head in shame.

Poor Johnny, he's doomed...right, Graig? Wrong. Even Jordan could see through the charade and says he can't believe that Graig is so arrogant he can't see he's the real target. Johnny goes up to the HoH room looking all mopey. He closes the door behind him then immediately he and Brittnee do a victory dance. As it turns out, Johnny knew the moment Brittnee looked at him during the nominations, that he wasn't her target. It was Graig. Johnny puts his mopey face back on as he leaves the HoH. He's going to play this up.

The Power of Veto comp is called Spooling Around. Brittnee, Kevin, Bobby, Sarah, Johnny and Zach
Curious mix of Devo and Oompa Loompas.
must transfer "thread" (rope) from 3 large spools to oe larger spool by wrapping it around their bodies. Of course all this spinning leads to dizziness and vomiting. Kevin sees this as a good opportunity to practise his art of comp throwing. Sarah panics because she wound the thread too tight around her chest and constricted her breathing. Brittnee and Zach wound their thread too loosely and got tangled. Bobby said this comp should be a breeze because he is a rock climber and is used to ropes. I don't see how this would be an advantage winding the rope around your body unless he repels down a rock-face like a Yo-Yo. Johnny wins the comp - looking very haggard and maybe a bit dehydrated.

It's no secret that Johnny will save his Kevy Wevy with that PoV. Bobby is scared and makes a beeline right to Brittnee to ask if there is anyone else in her crosshairs. She doesn't respond. The next day, Graig brings up the fact that Johnny spent a lot of time in the HoH room with Brittnee and Sarah. He mentions it to Bruno - who is ALREADY distancing himself from Graig. The best line of the episode is Graig: "I tell him I'm going on the block. Bruno just thinks I'm paranoid like he does every day. But this time I know it's for real"

Graig confronts Brittnee who has had enough. She tells him how irritating he is, he hasn't left her alone once, and he thinks she can't think for herself. She tells him even Johnny has said the same thing to her. Graig takes this to mean that Johnny planted this in Brittnee's head. (did he not hear what she just told him??? Geesh.) Graig thinks Johnny has no one in the house, and it was Johnny's game move to ruin his game. So then comes the Graig/Johnny showdown. Lots of yelling back and forth.

But at this point there is nothing Graig can do. Of course, Johnny saves Kevy Wevy and Britnee names Graig as the replacement nominee. The master plan nears completion and Graig is getting backdoored by The Fembots.

There's just one problem. The Fembots' master plan isn't all that masterful. They are simply taking out the henchman, NOT THE REAL MASTER. Ooops.
Look out Ginga Ninja, the Fembots are gunning for you.

The 3 Laws of Fembotics:
  1. A fembot may not injure a house guest or, through inaction, allow a house guest to come to harm.
  2. A fembot must pretend to obey the orders given it by aggressive house guests, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
  3. A fembot must protect its own existence in the house, and backdoor the aggressive house guest.

Big Brother Canada 3 Week 1 Eviction: Pilar or Risha?

The fans are in control of the first eviction this year. With no Live Feeds until after tonight's show, we have been asked to vote based on first impressions alone. All we have to go by is the one hour premiere episode, brief written bios and videos shot while the houseguests were in sequester.

The houseguests have been in that house since last Thursday, and have already formed friendships, sized up the competition and planted seeds for alliances to form. They think THEY are voting tonight, based on those alliances. When you watch tonight, look for any houseguests who may have anticipated this twist.

Then there are the nominees themselves. Pilar and Risha think they have been campaigning with their fellow houseguests, when in reality they haven't been able to campaign with anyone. Even if they suspected it was "Canada's Vote", playing it up to the camera would have fallen on deaf ears.

So, how did the fans vote?

Pilar is a pretty, young athletic girl. I think her introductory video was badly edited to emphasize her supposed Talla-like qualities. She seemingly laughed for no apparent reason. Other than that, there was practically no further information on her. She was given little airtime in the premiere episode, but what we DID see was nothing like the girl who was promised to us. She seemed quiet and reserved. Sindy with an S said she nominated her because Pilar didn't talk to her. After she was named as the replacement nominee, she went to the group for consolation. There is no doubt that Pilar is a bright, perky and attractive young girl, from a great family and has a lot of supporters. I just have the feeling that we have seen enough young 20-somethings, and the superfans out there recognize this.

Risha came across as mature, with more of a backstory, and with incredible sex appeal. Sure she's a cougar but at least she went in the house with a strategy in mind. She came across exactly like we expected from her bio and video. After the PoV Ceremony, she immediately separated from the group and went up to the bathroom to be alone. Normally this would have been a bad thing to do, but it would have pulled on the heartstrings of many a fan out there. I think the fans want to see more diversity in the houseguests, and will want to see the mix that a middle aged woman with game can add to the cast.

The major thing to consider with the Canada Vote is fan voting influence, and casual fan vs. superfan. Voting influence is the factor that your vote has and depends on the points you have earned on the official site. The casual fan only signed up after the premiere and have earned few points. At best, they have a 2X influence. The superfans signed up as soon as the official site relaunched - well over a week ago and have already reached 5X the influence (maybe more?). Oh, and one more thing...if you think it's just Canada voting, you are sadly mistaken.

There has been a lot of campaigning on social media, mostly Twitter for both Pilar and Risha. The apparent winner of this is the Save Risha camp. By apparent, I have to consider the fact that these numbers and Twitter's "Reach" stats has been seriously skewed by a few ardent fans who have been tweeting relentlessly, and some well known alumni.

My prediction?

I am leaning toward Pilar to be walking out of the door to meet Arisa and be the first guest on Side Show. But who really knows? No Live Feeds really suck.

Leave your thoughts in a comment...come on, don't be shy. I'm nice, really.

Big Brother Canada 2: Recap of Episode 21 Week 8 Instant Eviction

After Neda wins HoH, she is called to the DR. There she is led, blindfolded to the War Room and sequestered there. She is astonished at the room. And by astonished, I mean overly dramatic, with lots of Oh my God!s WHAT?s and What is happening?s There are TVs for her to watch the others, but no sound. The bobbleheads of the 7 remaining house guests are sitting on the table.Allison had been before she entered the house.

Nobody knows what happened to Neda - at first. But soon they understand that something "unexpected" is up. Rachelle, Sabrina and Allison quickly come to the realization they made a huge mistake sending Arlie home. No shit. You realize this now? Shoulda, coulda, woulda...things are always clearer in hindsight.

Arisa talks to Neda and tells her she has 5 minutes to nominate 2 people. She considers the gremlins, but in the end, she picks Sabrina and Allison. It's funny listening to people trying to justify their choices in this game. She previously said that Allison should trust their F4 alliance, then she turns around and says she has always thought that alliances mean nothing to her.

They make it seem like she was in the War Room for about an hour - in reality, she went in Thursday night and stayed until the feeds went down on Friday at about 2:30 P.M. In other words, she had lots of time to think about what was happening and why she was put in there. I doubt if Arisa had to tell her it was going to be an instant eviction. Her nominations certainly weren't as spontaneous as they made it out to be.

Arisa then tells the other HGs about the instant eviction. Neda is told not to mention the secret room and not to speak to anyone until the nomination speech. When she nominates Sabrina and Allison, she makes it clear that Allison is her target and Sabrina is the pawn. She explains that she found proof that Allison cannot be trusted. It was a lie to make everyone believe Allison was the best choice to evict. Everyone is warned not to speak otherwise they will find themselves on the block. The vote is 4 to 0 and Allison is evicted. No studio audience. No one to cheer or even boo her. Probably for the best. She is off to the jury house with Arlie. I just hope he has his clothes on when she walks in on him.

The HoH comp is called The Eyes Have It. There are 5 clues for picking houseguests' pictures which must be put on the board in order. When they think they have the board right, they drop a ball down the back of the board. If they are correct, the ball will run all the way down to the bottom. If a picture is wrong, it will block the ball from dropping. Adel skips the clues and tries to place the pictures in the proper order. It's a hit or miss technique, but it exposes the flaw in the game. He wins Head of Household. Go figure.

Adel wastes no time whatsoever in letting the Gremlins know they will be going up on the block. Sabrina immediately goes into another meltdown. Oh joy. Adel shows off his first HoH room and the Gremlins eventually show up acting like they were on their way to the gallows. They say as soon as he reads that stupid letter, we leave. Adel reads his letter from his sister who advises him to always show respect to other people. The gremlins leave. Then another Sabrina meltdown. "I feel so stupid." Wah. "This person (Adel) has been so awful to me."

All the house guests are treated to a Passover meal and Rachelle gives her best attempt at explaining the feast. "We all get together and explain what Passover is." Okay, thanks Rachelle for clearing that up for us.

Adel gets together with what he thinks is his alliance - Jon, Neda and Heather. I say that
because he is the fourth member of that alliance. He wants Sabrina out, but Neda has other plans. She quickly chimes in that Adel is basing his nominations on emotion. Had to laugh because her nominating Allison was a purely emotional play on her part. Jon and Neda convince Adel to target Rachelle because she is supposedly a more physical threat. Rachelle won one physical challenge that was kind of questionable and we keep hearing that she is a huge endurance threat. If that was true, then why didn't Neda get rid of her in the instant eviction when she had the chance?

I have to say that I have not been a fan of Adel's, BUT what happens next was the best and most gratifying nomination ceremony of the season. Of course he nominated Sabrina and Rachelle:

Adel, "I have nominated you Sabrina (pointing at her) for eviction because you have been a thorn in my side since day 3 and bashed my religion" Then, "I have nominated you Rachelle (pointing at Rachelle) because you are a mere shadow of Sabrina and I don't even know what you are doing in this game. I cannot wait til you take the walk of shame (pointing up the stairs and holding it for dramatic effect for a very extended period of time). It was priceless.

The last scene of the night is Sabrina absolutely flipping out in the Diary Room. Could this be the week we finally get rid of one of these Gremlins? Or does Adel have bigger plans? He says later that he knows Sabrina didn't bash his religion, but the speech was necessary for his plan. Hmmm. I wonder if he is going to follow Arlie's advice. After all the two of them talked strategy the entire night before Arlie's eviction.

Big Brother Canada 2 Weekend Update for Week 8: Neda is in the War Room!

Thursday night's episode of Side Show gave us a peak of Neda getting called into the DR after her HoH win, and then being led into the War Room blind-folded. We were also told there would be a
double eviction this week, the first of which being an instant eviction.

That Instant Eviction happened Friday afternoon. I think it's safe to assume that whoever was voted out is already in the Jury House with Arlie.

The live feeds went down Friday afternoon, and will not return until after Sunday night's show. Here's what happened in both the War Room and the rest of the house before they went to Hush Hush.

  • On Thursday night, everyone speculates on where Neda is. They reveal that they heard a scream earlier, and suspect that she is still in the house somewhere, possibly in a secret room. Jon and Allison say she is in the walls. They also know that Kenny once tried out the wall that concealed the door to the War Room.
  • Sabrina and Rachelle with Allison in tow, check out the wall, trying to listen.
  • Neda can watch the others' on the TV screens, but cannot hear them. She can hear them through the door. (production removed the sound insulation and the fake wall inside the War Room that hid the door).
  • Jon purposely and noticeably talks louder, hoping that Neda can hear.
  • Jon is upset that Neda is "gone", and gets up several times during the first night
  • On Friday morning, Neda watches Allison get ready for the day. She says Allison looks sketchy even when she's doing her hair. She asks if Allison is even human, then refers to her as a robot.
  • In the kitchen, (I don't know if Neda could hear) Sabrina repeats her position on lying: that lying about strategy while inside the house is acceptable gameplay. Lying about personal traits, or making personal attacks about someone is not acceptable.
  • Neda listens at the door to the others who are gathered on the couches in the living room.  They talk about the Jon/Neda relationship. Neda asks herself why are they still talking about this? She then realizes it is always Sabrina and Rachelle who bring this topic up.
  • Sabina and Rachelle continues on the alliance between Neda and Jon. They point out that if Neda brings Jon to the Final 2, she would not win, "because 1000% Jon would win over anyone else." Neda takes note of this and wonders why the Gremlins are saying this now and in front of all the others. (Neda knew that the Gremlins thought she could hear her, and that it was clear they were trying to send a message to her)
  • Neda used the bobbleheads a bit. At one point, she placed the Heather and Sabrina bobbleheads off to the side, then put Allison in front of Sabrina. I am presuming that she thought Heather was a pawn to force the vote towards either Sabrina or Allison.

So who did Neda vote out? At first she considered backdooring someone, but I think she must have realized that when she is released, there would be an instant eviction. She has watched several seasons of Big Brother. Another thing to consider is that the vote is out of 4, and if there is a tie, she is the tiebreaker. That is not the best thing to happen when the evictee is a member of the jury.

She has several targets:

Allison. Neda hates Allison and finds her sketchy. She may even suspect that Allison spent time in the War Room before entering the house. However, she also knows that Allison can be easily swayed.

Adel. He is on Neda's hit list. Adel has a problem with keeping his mouth shut. Neda has even convinced Heather that Adel needs to go. The HG's suspect Canada will have a vote in the Jury, and Adel won the Buzzworthy challenge - which tells Neda he is popular. In addition, Adel was the benefactor of an all-nighter with Arlie, who gave Adel all kinds of game strategy.

The Gremlins. Pairs, whether a showmance or just a tight friendship are a big threat in this game. While in the War Room, Neda has taken note of the things these two have said. She may decide that if she takes out Sabrina, Rachelle would be next to helpless. She could actually work with her - get Rachelle to do her dirty work for her. Here's one more thing to consider: being the person responsible for removing Sabrina from the game once and for all will garner a lot of jury votes. But who knows. Maybe Arlie won't be happy having to spend 3 more weeks with this woman in the jury house.

So it just depends if Neda will base her decision on logic or if she reacts to emotion.

Big Brother Canada 2: Weekend Update for Week 7

Spoilers from Live Feeds:

  • Sabrina and Rachelle pitch a deal to Jon. If he saves them this week, they will promise their loyalty to him for the rest of the game.
  • Jon nominated Rachelle and Sabrina, aka The Gremlins, for eviction.
  • Sabrina confronts Jon. She says he was foolish not to take their offer. Sabrina says go ahead and vote me out. Jon says okay.
  • Neda tells Rachelle to try to win the POV Comp.
  • Adel used his special card to replace Allison in the POV Comp. Allison has become suspicious of this - she already suspects she is at the bottom of her alliance and is now thinking the others are planning to backdoor her. Adel tells her that he wanted to play in the comp, and he had to pick someone. She doesn't buy it. Allison leaves to go to the DR and Adel says fuck it, she's gone next week
  • Jon wins POV.
  • Neda tells Jon to take Rachelle off the block. Neda wants Allison gone. As of Saturday night, he plans on backdooring Allison.
  • Jon, Neda and the Gremlins talk about getting rid of Allison
  • Arlie tells Adel that he should be included in the negotiations with the Gremlins, Adel prefers not to.
  • Allison sat in chair at bottom of stairs next to the War Room door contemplating her fate. She whispers "why won't you open?" and wonders if Sarah might be in there.
  • Adel is on a secret mission...Marsha? He went to the DR, and all the other HGs were locked down in the supply room. Feeds were down, but when they returned, Adel was asking several people for a date, including the men. All give him excuses. So were the HGs told by BB of his mission while on lockdown and told not to cooperate?
  • Late Sunday Night The HGs were rewarded with booze. Allison gets totally wasted and goes on a rant about her not being right for this game and knowing that she is being backdoored.
  • Neda and Heather reconsider the plan to backdoor Allison...they have figured out the trouble that Arlie has caused, and now recognize the Arlie/Jon plan is not right for their game. Neda and Heather now want to backdoor Arlie.
  • Neda and Heather try to wake up a passed-out Allison to explain their plan. They want Allison aware of the plan before the POV Ceremony on Monday
  • Neda talks to Jon and Jon is now seemingly on board with taking Arlie out.

Big Brother Canada 2 Week 6 Double Eviction Day Spoilers

***The following should be considered spoilers if you only watch the aired episodes and not the live feeds. Just saying.***

Tonight's episode is the first double eviction of the season. Here's a breakdown:

The first eviction is pretty much straightforward. Sarah is going home tonight. Sarah tried to strike a deal with Neda to flip her vote in exchange for protection of both Neda and Jon. Neda declined, but went to Jon just to make sure. She wanted to know if Jon trusted Allison insofar that if Jon was on the block with Arlie, whom would Allison vote to evict. Jon said she would vote Arlie out.

The second eviction is a toss up. Suddenly, we have a real competition.

Jon and the Sloppy Seconds vs Kenny and The Gremlins

No, they aren't two really bad pop groups from the 70's. It's the two sides of the house. Kenny commands the Gremlins - Sabrina and Rachelle. The rest of the house...The Sloppy Seconds, are basically under the control of Jon, with Neda and Arlie as second in command.

Jon and The Sloppy Seconds
If Kenny and the Gremlins win, they will put up Jon and Arlie OR they could nominate Arlie and Adel then backdoor Jon. In either scenario, Jon is their target, but they would be happy to let any 3 of them go.

Kenny and The Gremlins
If The Sloppy Seconds win, Kenny and Sabrina will find themselves on the block...but Kenny is their target.

Will Arlie flip again? My guess is no. He will work the numbers game to take this opportunity to get rid of Kenny. He won't flip to evict Jon and risk the majority of the house coming after him next week. Will Arlie try to win this HoH or take another dive? That depends...I think he will play for real until Kenny and the Gremlins are knocked out of the competition, then let someone else in the alliance win. Of course, that's just my opinion based on his track record.

The one wild card in the whole situation is Allison and her Red POV. Remember, she only has 2 more opportunities to use it...for the 2nd POV Ceremony and Next week's. (last night's POV ceremony was her first chance). After yesterday's talk with Jon, she just may use it to save Jon if he is nominated by Kenny!

Okay, I lied. In many ways, I also see Kenny as a bit of a wild card. What? Well the only ties Kenny had to Sabrina were through Sarah. Kenny can't tolerate Sabrina, and has only been civil in an attempt to make Sarah's last couple of days in the house bearable. He also knows that Canada doesn't particularly care for the woman either. Combine that with his trying to clean up his game and coming out to the house just yesterday, and you just might see Kenny make a big move. With Sarah out of the picture, I can't see Kenny remaining with the Gremlins simply by default.

Of course, things might change as leaks come out from the taping, and I will update my House Guest Standings page as events unfold. You can find that HERE

Big Brother Canada 2: Weekend Update - Week 6 Live Feeds

Thursday April 3 to Sunday April 6
  • Heather won HoH comp called "Blind Side" - (my opinion: very ironic since no one saw that coming). She is given her HoH room later that night (Thursday), which leads everyone to speculate that there might be an instant eviction - HoH rooms are usually opened the next day.
  • Rachelle, Sabrina, and Allison (separately) talk to Heather as soon as everybody leaves from the standard room reveal.
  • Rachelle apologizes to Heather for treating her meanly, suggests they be friends then asks her if she is safe. Heather tells her she is not the target, but could be a pawn.
  • Heather tells Sabrina she is safe
  • Allison tells Heather they started out as friends, but then she (Allison) got involved with Andrew. They have girl chat, agree to do their nails together and Heather tells Allison she is not her target and will try to keep her safe.
  • The have nots (chosen by Heather) are Kenny, Sarah and Rachelle
  • Rachelle eats Heathers candies
  • BB tells the house guests they have 15 minutes to pack their bags. No reason is given.
  • BB has punished the whole house for Rachelle's indiscretion. Slop and no hot water for 48 hours (will end Monday)
  • Rachelle tries to apologize to Heather, calling it an accident and blaming her nerves and fear of being nominated. Heather will not have any of it. (my opinion: Rachelle came off as if she was blaming Heather for being nervous)
  • Heather tells Rachelle that she will be nominated - for getting everyone punished. Heather later states that she only said this to Rachelle to punish her for ruining her HoH.
  • Heather tells Kenny he is being nominated. He tries to talk her out of it.
  • Heather tells Allison she is being nominated as a pawn. Allison is upset. Heather asks Allison if she wants to sleep in the HoH room and they can do their nails. Allison storms out.
  • Allison told heather about the First 5, and that the alliance has been together since the beginning of the show. Heather passes the info onto Jon, Neda and Adel.
  • Heather & her allies agree that if any of them win PoV, they will take Allison off and put up Sarah.
  • Sarah is panicking. She wants the other side to think she wants to go up on the block. Arlie warns her that "the other side" is already considering it, and she better stop or her game will be in jeopardy.
  • PoV players are chosen: Heather, Kenny, Allison, Rachelle, Sabrina and Arlie.
  • Kenny wins PoV
  • The plan is to nominate Sarah as replacement...Sarah is the target.
  • Heather tells Sarah that she is a possible replacement nominee, after Sarah tells Heather that she is just being herself, and not trying to be her friend.
  • Heather tells Sabrina and Rachelle she is not going to discuss a possible replacement nom until right before the Veto Ceremony. Heather asks them who they think she should nominate...their choices are Jon and Adel.
  • Adel tells Heather that Arlie talked to Allison, and Allison is "on board" with them.
  • Arlie tells Jon and Adel that he will not expose himself to the First 5 until the eviction when he votes for Sarah.
(my opinion: at this time, the Arlie and Sarah situation is identical to the Andy and Helen events in BBUS 15, but it is still unclear as to Arlie's true intentions)
  • Veto Ceremony is Sunday
  • Sarah to Allison: if the worst happens and I go home, please promise me you will take care of Kenny. (she is alluding to his "secret", and how Kenny will need a confidant) Sabrina can't do for him what you can do.
  • Outside lockdown late Sunday afternoon. When HGs return inside, they get food + reward. They look for the reward, but no one can see anything...except there are two daisy arrangements on the upstairs balcony. Neda checks the larger one. Camera zooms in several times to the smaller arrangement. Allison checks this one and finds a clue. She begins to follow trail. One clue reads "make a splash". She checks around pool once, looks elsewhere then goes back. She finds the next clue inside a hockey puck.
  • Her search goes on for several hours. Not sure how many clues there are in total but she knows it involves the secret room, Last clue was "read it like a book, 1 to 3"...just before airtime of Sunday night episode, the feeds to go Hush Hush EXACTLY when Allison opens the door.

Big Brother Canada 2 Canada's Nominations: No Big Surprise.

It's pretty well safe to say that judging from the online community, both Sabrina and Andrew will be Canada's nominees for eviction. That was pretty much realized after the first hour or two after the voting was announced on Thursday's show. It's even safe to say that the diehard fans out there knew this instantaneously. The general consensus is that everyone wants the First Five alliance fractured before the season becomes too predictable. Any house guests outside of that alliance who have tried, like Paul or Ika have been voted out. When you combine that with the fact that both Andrew and Sabrina are the most hated (on a personal level) by the fans...then its ding ding ding...we have a winner, folks! There's just been too much nose-picking, crotch scratching and other vile habits.

The fans are chomping at the bit in anticipation. Not just to find out who the nominees are either. They want to watch the live feeds to watch these two turn on each other. For any newbs out there, the live feeds have been down since Saturday morning and will not return until after the show tonight. After Dark was also cancelled for last night. The official reason is that Big Brother wants to keep the reveal a big surprise. They fool no one. They want the ratings. The "Canada as HoH" is sponsored by Twistos and they want the most bang for their buck. So much for the whole idea that Big Brother is a social experiment. I really hope they post the live feeds for yesterday and today after the show.

The next step in getting one of these two evicted is the POV comp. Here's a great scenario for you. Let's go with Andrew and Sabrina on the block. If you go by several unofficial online polls, Kenny and Rachelle are placed  in a distant 3rd and 4th, respectfully. What if Kenny wins POV and takes Andrew off the block? Rachelle would go up as replacement. How will the house vote? Very interesting indeed.

Big Brother Canada 2 - Week 3 Recap of Aired Episodes

Wednesday March 19

A lot to cover in this episode. Adel has gotten his head back in the game after the fiasco that was Kyle and Paul. He has been allying himself with Ika. He says he is building a relationship with her that will get her to the end. That's highly doubtful. Heather also believes she is still just the pawn, because she believes that Ika is her ally. Ika reveals she lied to Heather.

Meanwhile Paul is miserable being on slop and an outcast among the others. Good old Adel still maintains his friendship with Paul. In part because of loyalty, but also because he and Ika want Paul to keep his yap shut and not reveal to anyone that He is safe and Heather is the real target.

Those mean girls and their fake alliance talk about Heather and Allison being the people they hate the most. By the way, they don't refer to Allison by name...just call her "New Girl", as if she's Zooey Deschanel. Speaking of Allison, nobody is trying to get to know her. Just Andrew. Of course Allison hasn't really been trying. She is just sticking by Andrew for protection. These two have been making googley eyes at each other, and having late night rendezvous I might add, since she came into the house last Thursday. Yet, she says she doesn't want to let the others think she and Andrew are in a showmance. Go figure. They now agree to spend less time together.

There was a Buzzworthy competition on Sunday. Canada was the judge through social media. The person who gets the most tweets on their hashtag, wins news from the outside world, and a special power. I won't get into it much except to say the funniest were Arlie streaking through the house (they didn't say anything about him trying to dye his balls with cranberry juice), and Kenny who striped down to his undies, wore a bow tie, and poured vegetable over himself. Sabrina did a bad job of fashioning herself into a Kim K copy (kopy?).

The POV comp gets under way. The players are Ika, Heather, Paul, Andrew, Arlie and Neda. It's called "Nuts to That". You just know there are going to be a lot of nut jokes. Allison is the host and is wearing a Ranger outfit, the players are wearing squirrel outfits. This gets Andrew very excited. He wants to show Allison his nuts. They have to walk along a fence (like a balance beam), use a giant nutcracker to smash open the nut. There is either a letter or a stop sign inside. A stop sign is a one minute penalty. There are also blanks inside some nuts. Okay, I won't go there. Anyways...what happens to Paul? He falls on the fence. Yep. Right on his nuts. Apparently he mixed up what nuts he was supposed to crack. Then he starts getting a lot of blanks. He starts complaining. THE BEST LINE of the night came from Heather who said, "No one cares about your nuts, I don't care about your nuts".

Right after that, Heather falls off the fence and really hurts herself. Game stops and she leaves to have medical attention. Ika wins POV.

While Heather is gone, everyone except Andrew, Allison and Paul gather in the HOH room to see who they should evict. Ika wants Heather out. Sabrina goes to get Andrew and finds him talking to Allison in the hammock. Now Sabrina is worried about Andrew's potential showmance. Andrew and Kenny want Paul gone. Of course Ika is pissed. I guess she figures the HOH gets their way with who gets evicted.

Later, Sabrina begins her campaign trying to convince Andrew that a showmance is bad for the First 5 alliance. (don't be fooled...she is actually jealous of Allison - this is evident in the live feeds).

Adel is announced as the winner of the Buzzworthy challenge. I don't think it was due to anything he did on Sunday, I think it's because he has gained a lot of popularity because he stuck by Kyle and Paul, and has turned into quite an amusing guy. He is shown the news that both the Canadian Womens and Mens Hockey teams won Olympic gold. He is also given a message from his girlfriend and a special power. He can replace any player in any one POV comp. BUT...he intends to exaggerate this power. Actually he later gets together with Ika and they devise a lie - make up some other Veto power completely. You will probably find out tomorrow night.

At the POV ceremony, Ika decides not to use her POV, and the noms remain the same. As it sits now, both Heather and Paul believe they are safe this week. Check out my Eviction Day spoilers tomorrow for the last minute situation on who is going home.

Sunday March 16

Ika becomes HOH, and Kenny is worried he may be the target. Heather enters the house, wanders about like Goldilocks trying all the chairs. Then the bears come home. Everyone is very welcoming, or so they seem. Kenny recognizes her, and is afraid she might know he is gay...a fact he has been hiding from everyone. Kenny knows he has kind of gone past the point of no return with his pretense. Allison plays it up great. The girl should become an actress. Then there's the other girls...the bitch squad is freaking out.

Big Brother gives them beer and wine to have a welcome party. The Have Nots can eat again. Sabrina gets drunk right away...then she marks her territory. She sits between Allison and Kenny, flirts with Kenny, then kisses him. Of course, Kenny is getting in deeper with his charade. Makes me wonder what Sabrina would do if she ever found out the truth about him. Sabrina is acting like a 14 year old. Correction...a drunk 14 year old. What they didn't show is that Andrew started hitting on Allison. Sabrina didn't like that either. Luckily Andrew noticed and kissed Sabrina. (check my live feed updates for more info)

Ika gets her HOH room, reads her letter, and Sarah gets homesick for her husband and kids. Adel gets an audience with Queen Ika to convince her to put up Andrew and Kenny. She considers it. (she actually considers it a lot more than what is shown) Sabrina proves what she is good for in the First 5 alliance and talks Ika out of it.

Sabrina continues to flirt with Kenny, and he plays it for all it's worth. He recognizes she is a very dangerous player, and he needs to form a bond with her. I keep wondering what will happen if or when Sabrina finds out. Something tells me its going to be explosive - they might just need to build another new house for Season 3.

In the Have Not Comp, the HGs are divided into teams of 3. They must stomp grapes (old Italian style), fill wine glasses, then walk a slippery floor to a barrel they must fill. Jon, Paul and Allison lose, mainly because Paul decides to slide on his ass along the entire length rather that falling and not being able to get up.

Ika decides to put Paul and Heather up on the block. When she's telling the other members of the bitch alliance, Heather walks in. Meanwhile, Andrew and Kenny get to know Allison very well. Ika flip flops on the nominees after Neda points out Ika would be doing the guys a favour by nominating Paul and Heather. Neda wants to target Kenny and Andrew. But Ika is no dummy and recognizes that people only want to make big moves when they are not HOH. Ika decides to nominate Paul, but asks one of the other girls to be a pawn. In the end she nominates Paul because he has thrown everyone under the bus (how many times have we heard that line?) and Heather, who she promises, in front of everybody, that she is just the pawn and won't be evicted. Wow, something tells me this will be good.

Big Brother Canada Recap Week One

Wednesday February 27, 2013 (Premiere) And Thus It Begins

Well, that was a fast moving hour. The intro started with a CGI satellite beaming down an announcement that Big Brother himself has infiltrated the airwaves. Okay. Fine. Kinda cheesy. Then Arisa Cox walks into the live studio audience to tell us everything we need to know: 10 weeks...15 houseguests...13,000 sq ft house... blah, blah, blah. A quick tour shows us several rooms. The HOH room is luxurious, while the Have-Not room is decorated a la rat-trap Highway 11 motel room. There is an artificial outdoor "summer" environment. And, oh yes...it wouldn't be Big Brother Canada without a "winter" area with a hot-tub. And by winter, I mean real, artificial snow lining the edge of the hot-tub. Wow. Great decorating. Looks like they paid a 5th grader 5 bucks to do that. But the rest of the house looks great!

Then its on to the introduction of the HGs, which is done in groups of five - montage style, showing them getting their acceptance letter and key, packing, giving bios and traveling to the BB house. So here we go:

Group One

Peter, he hates people. BB isn't a game...it's a sport.
Kat
Alec, the Social Psychologist, self described "Master of the Game"
Aneal, sees the HGs as pawns
Danielle

Group Two

Suzette, how long will it take for her to annoy 14 people?
Talla
Jillian
Andrew, impulsive, speaks his mind, has an identical twin brother (hmmm?)
AJ, the life of the party, can be a backstabber (what kind of parties does he go to?)

Group Three

Liza, brings 50 kinds of bronzer cos there won't be a tanning bed
Tom, Mr. Social but is easily annoyed
Gary, flamboyant is an understatement
Emmett, farmer, his gay brother told him to look out for gay guys
Topaz, her real name is Emerald, but she prefers Topaz. Huh?

What Arisa Cox doesn't tell us is that the HGs actually moved into the house on February 21...6 whole days before the airing of this episode. So, if you started watching Big Brother After Dark, or the live feeds, and thought they seemed awfully friendly for people who just met...well they have spent a whole week together already.

The HGs gather in the living room and immediately start to form opinions of each other. Gary, who isn't just gay, but outlandishly gay...not that there's anything wrong with that...already loves Emmett, the farmer from down east. Now that's a match made in heaven. By the way, one of Emmett's brothers is gay, and he warned Emmett to "watch out for any gay guys" in the house. Gee you got to wonder about the casting process. And Gary hates "the guy with the glasses" (Aneal) because he's from Richmond Hill, a suburb of Toronto. And that's not Toronto. Alec is attracted to Topaz. He tells everyone that he is majoring in Social Psych...bad move? Suzette tells everyone she is the mother of 3, and all those professions she has, and manages to annoy everyone. Some already want her gone. Okay, I admit it, I want her gone.

As this is going on, Arisa speaks that over-used line "expect the unexpected". Oh God, and thus it begins. There is a red phone. The person who answers it will be given a mission. Of course if that person fails in the mission, there is a punishment. That I want to see. I am kind of thinking the punishment would be an automatic eviction nomination. As the drinks begin to flow, the phone rings and the annoying Suzette answers. She is told to go to the Diary Room, and not to tell anyone. She says she doesn't know what it was...she couldn't hear anything. No one believes her of course. In fact, someone else picks up the phone to see if it's working. She meanders around, which looks preposterous considering her, well, size. Did I mention she's a full-figured woman? Hey, she said it herself, okay?! She finally gets to the DR, where Mr.BB himself tells her she is the first HOH and she has one hour to nominate two HGs for eviction. She can't tell anyone...or else. Please screw it up, Suzette!

Everyone knows somethings up. Arisa gathers everyone in the living room and tells them whats up. Suzette nominates "these two" sitting next to where she is standing. It's Tom and Emmett. I'm kind of thinking there was piss all thought put into it...she just decided to indiscriminately pick the two closest people to her...she didn't or couldn't say their names. Way to use those "great skills" you said you had, Suzette! Now, keep in mind this is the one who stated her profession as Support Worker/Radio Producer and Host/Motivational Speaker, whatever the hell that is. Geez.

But wait, Arisa announces that this wouldn't be Big Brother without a Power of Veto Competition, and they get right to it. Tom and Emmett decide to work towards saving each other. The HOH and 2 nominees each draw names: Suzette draws Peter; Tom draws Aneal; and Emmett draws Gary. Wait, is this thing rigged? All 6 put on these purple, full body leotard suits. They look like Rubber Man from American Horror Story. Only purple. They have a spiked belt which they have to use to break balloons - they can't use their hands. The balloons have puzzle pieces, and yeah, you guessed it, the first person to put their puzzle together wins POV. Okay, I know that BB Canada doesn't have the ultra big budget that BB US has, and they probably spent most of it on the house, but come on. This is really lame. Not every balloon has a piece in it, so these guys are really getting tired and drawing it out. It's a good thing this was pre-taped. Suzette's belt is riding up to under her boobs. She's looking like a big grape in that suit. Eventually, and I mean eventually, Tom wins and gets this overly massive lucite "V" necklace.

Week 1 Episode 1 Wed Feb 27, 2013

Thursday, February 28 2013 Live Eviction

Before the POV Ceremony:

Kat campaigns for a girl's alliance which doesn't go over too well. Everyone agrees that Suzette did not "earn" the HOH title - so not only do they find her annoying, but now they resent her. Gary apparently loves glitter (he brought a lot with him), and people have been finding it all over the place. It's almost as if some people set out to annoy others. Aneal is sure Tom will use the POV. He wants Gary Glitter out so he steals some of his glitter and starts to spread it around. Suzette considers possibilities for replacement nominees - supposedly, she says it's between Gary and Kat

POV Ceremony:

Tom uses the POV on himself. Suzette names Kat as the replacement nominee.

Before the Live Eviction:

The HGs are put into pairs and handcuffed for the day. The pairs are: Talla and Liza; Kat and Aneal; Jillian and Alec; AJ and Andrew; Peter and Danielle; Emmett and Topaz; and Tom and Gary. This leads to awkward situations such as Jillian trying not to look when Alec showers or AJ and Andrew taking turns going to the bathroom. I don't think they were just peeing. This isn't like a normal reward challenge - they all do well and get beer. Yeah, this is Canada. Looks like Alec has acted on his initial attraction to Topaz and a shomance has been developing which has not gone unnoticed. In fact, if you watched the live feeds at all, these two are really flaunting it. A few of the others discuss the dangers of this kind of alliance and agree to watch it carefully. Meanwhile, Aneal brings up the dangers of the Tom and Emmett alliance - then he goes to Suzette about it. It appears he is going to vote to evict Emmett.

Live Eviction Voting:

Kat is evicted with an 11 to 1 vote (the lone vote for Emmett was from Liza. So it looks like Liza was the only one to agree with Kat on a girl's alliance. It also looks like Aneal was trying to pull a fast one on Suzette or maybe it was just a test. From the Diary Room confessions, most people thought Kat talked too much, she played the game too hard, too soon and talked strategy way too much. Looks like she forgot her strategy going into the game which was to lay low and just be a fly on the wall.

HOH Competition:

Everyone except Suzette dresses as lumberjacks (thank God we weren't subjected to a lumberjack Suzette) and must hold on to a step on a tree. The last one on wins HOH. We won't see that outcome until Sunday officially - but that part was taped and Jillian ends up winning HOH. She will nominate Aneal and Gary for eviction.

At the end of the show, Arisa introduces Dan Gheesling from BB10. His only contribution is a tip that the players need to just chill out and let the others cut each others head off. Duh. He also said that so far he likes the gameplay of Aneal and Peter.

Week 1 Episode 2 Thurs Feb 28, 2013
